Bohemians to Win

Reason for tip

Bohemians recorded an excellent 1-0 cup win over Shamrock Rovers last Friday and can take advantage of Dundalk’s dismal away record to take all three points. The visitors have lost nine of their last 11 away league matches and failed to score in three of their last four away league contests.

Bohemians 1-0

Reason for tip

Bohemians may need only one goal to secure the points against Dundalk, who have failed to register in three of their last four on the road. Bohs’ last two home league wins have been by 1-0 margin, one of which was against Dundalk in April, as was their win over Shamrock Rovers last weekend.

Bohemians vs Dundalk Predictions

  • Bohemians are coming off an excellent 1-0 cup win over Shamrock Rovers
  • Dundalk have lost nine of their last 11 away league matches
  • Dundalk have failed to score in three of their last four away league contests

Gypsies can take advantage of poor travellers

Bohemians can boost their survival bid by building off the back of a good cup win over Shamrock Rovers and beating fellow strugglers Dundalk at Dalymount Park on Friday night.

The Gypsies beat the reigning Premier Division champions 1-0 in fine style, dominating the game from start to finish. It was a tricky game for Rovers, sandwiched between two Champions League games, but Stephen Bradley’s side made little impression on their hosts even after a raft of attacking substitutions in the second half.

Bohs have been crying out for such a performance during a slide down the table that has followed a run of six league games without victory.

Dundalk look like a blunt force

Alan Reynolds’ side have had problems putting the ball in the back of the net, netting only three times in their last five league games while last Saturday’s cup winner came via a spot-kick.

However, they may need only one goal to secure the points against Dundalk, who have failed to register in three of their last four on the road.

The Lilywhites are the second-worst travellers in the Premier Division, having taken only five points on the road this season and a 10th away loss could well be on the cards – by the minimum margin.
