      Over 3.5 Match Goals

      Reason for tip

Bolton are yet to find the right balance in the Championship and they are taking on a West Ham side, who have scored 14 times in their last four matches. Take over 3.5 goals at the Toughsheet Community Stadium.

      West Ham United 3-1

      Reason for tip

West Ham hit 20 shots on goal when beating Derby 3-0 at the weekend, while Bolton have conceded seven times in their last two Championship matches. Take a 3-1 Hammers success on the correct score market.

Bolton vs West Ham United Predictions

      • Bolton have won eight of their last nine games against West Ham
      • Bolton have allowed xG numbers of 2.21 and 2.63 in their last two matches
      • West Ham have scored 18 goals in their seven matches this season

      Bolton could be hammered

Bolton were battered 4-0 at Millwall on Saturday and the Trotters may be heading for another heavy defeat when West Ham head for the Toughsheet Community Stadium on Tuesday night.

It has been a tough start to the campaign for the Whites, who have taken only four points from their opening five second-tier matches and were beaten by Sheffield Wednesday in the first round of the EFL Cup.

A win and a draw from five Championship matches is not a disastrous record, but the performances of Bolton do raise an alarm.

Steven Schumacher’s side hit only two shots and created an expected goals figure of only 0.19 in their 0-0 second-tier draw at QPR.

Bolton conceded seven times and allowed xG numbers of 2.21 and 2.63 in defeats to Sheffield United and Millwall and it’s not difficult to think that West Ham will be relishing an opportunity to get at the Whites’ defence.

The Hammers have found their stride, beating a good Wolves side 4-2 and ramming Derby 3-0 last time out.

The Irons were rampant against the Rams, hitting an xG of 3.79 and nailing 20 shots on goal.

This looks a spot to get with a high-scoring West Ham win and over 3.5 goals is a play.
