Dortmund can return to winning ways

Borussia Dortmund’s form took a hit before the international break but the hiatus should have done them good and they can bounce back with a win over Borussia Monchengladbach.

Dortmund are on a three-game winless streak in the German top flight, having followed their 3-3 draw with Eintracht Frankfurt with a 4-0 defeat to Bayern Munich and a 2-1 loss to Stuttgart.

However, it is worth noting all of those opponents were stationed in the top seven heading into the break and Dortmund can get their mojo back against mid-table Gladbach.

Foals set to feature in another goalfest

Gladbach signed off before the international break with a 4-0 win over Wolfsburg but it has not been plain sailing under Gerardo Seoane this season and the Foals look vulnerable.

Ko Itakura, Hannes Wolf, Jonas Omlin, Stefan Lainer and Tony Jantschke are all out for Gladbach ahead of this weekend’s contest and they should be opposed.

However, their away games are averaging 5.6 goals per game, so this should be a high-scoring contest and the best bet is Dortmund to win and over 3.5 goals.

It is also worth noting that both teams have scored in eight of Gladbach’s 11 league assignments this term and with that in mind, a 3-1 win for Dortmund could be the way to go in the correct score market.
