Both Teams To Score

Reason for tip

Both teams have scored in seven of Strasbourg’s last ten home games, during which time they have kept just one clean sheet! Their opponents Nice are also not shy of scoring or conceding in recent weeks, with both teams netting in six of their eight most recent games.

Draw 1-1

Reason for tip

Strasbourg have conceded exactly once in four of their last six outings, while they have drawn 1-1 five times since the end of October! Nice are on a run of back-to-back stalemates and have conceded exactly once in three of their last seven.

Strasbourg vs Nice Predictions

  • Strasbourg have only kept one clean sheet in their last ten home fixtures
  • Both teams have netted in six of Nice’s last eight outings
  • The Blue and Whites are have seen both teams net in seven of their last ten at home

Strasbourg edging closer to safety

It has been a difficult season for Strasbourg, but the end of the road is in sight, with a win in this game potentially enough to secure their top flight status, as they already have an eight-point cushion down to the bottom three.

Patrick Vieira’s side did lose 1-0 to Lille last time out, a result that ended a four-game unbeaten run, but also it is now only three clean sheets in their last 16 fixtures across all competitions.

The Blue and Whites are therefore struggling at the back, but they are dynamite at the other end, with seven of their last ten home fixtures seeing both teams score, as well as 16 of 23 matches at all venues since mid-November.

Nice clinging on to top four dreams

Visitors Nice on the other hand have finally found their form again, although they will be hoping it is not all too little, too late, following the collapse of their surprise title challenge.

Francesco Farioli’s side now sit four points outside the top four, so need to continue a three-game unbeaten run, the most recent of which when coming from behind in a 2-2 draw with Marseille.

That was the sixth time eight Nice matches that both teams have scored, as they have in four of their last five away trips, of which only one – a 3-1 victory at Lens – has ended in success.

I predict that both teams swill score in this game, with a 1-1 draw my correct score prediction.
