Brentford vs Burnley Predictions

  • Both teams have scored in six of Brentford’s eight Premier League games this season.
  • Burnley have scored in five of their eight top-flight assignments.
  • Brentford have drawn half their league matches this season.

Form falters for Thomas Frank’s side

The absence of suspended striker Ivan Toney didn’t seem to have impacted Brentford at the start of the season as they claimed five point from their opening three games, scoring six goals in the process.

However, two months on, their form has faltered and they find themselves in desperate need of a win. The Bees have taken just two points from their last five games and now face a Burnley side that have shown small signs of improvement of late.

Clarets can trouble Bees back line

Vincent Kompany’s side picked up their first Premier League win of the season at Luton in their last away game and drew away to Nottingham Forest last month, while they can take heart from the fact they have scored in five of their eight league games so far, only failing to do so against the two Manchester giants and last season’s joint-best defence, Newcastle.

They have, however, conceded in every game so far and Brentford, while missing Toney’s influence, have still found the net in seven of their eight top-flight outings, making both teams to score a solid selection on Saturday.

Spoils could be shared in Brentford

As far as the result is concerned, a draw could be on the cards. Brentford have played out four draws in eight games this season and the most recent of these was a 1-1 stalemate, while Burnley’ only draw of the season also came by that scoreline and looks a good choice for correct score punters.

Lyle Foster attracts some interest in the anytime goalscorer market, too. The Burnley forward has either scored or assisted in each of his last five Premier League appearances and is their main threat going forward, so he could punish a Bees back line that shipped three against Everton in their last home match.
