Rocking Robins looking for three in a row

Bristol City sit fourth in the Championship table after picking up back-to-back victories and they can extend their winning streak when Birmingham visit Ashton Gate on Saturday.

The Robins came from a goal down to beat Southampton 3-1 in midweek at this venue, having won 1-0 at Norwich last weekend.

Birmingham also won in midweek as they triumphed 1-0 at Preston but in general their form has been poor. The Blues made an excellent start after winning promotion with seven points from three games but they have added just seven more to their total in eight games since, and have scored just four goals across their six away games (W2, D1, L3).

Bristol City’s home form has been patchy but they should draw some confidence from their win over Saints and they look well placed to make it three wins on the spin on Saturday.

A 2-1 home win is the correct score pick as the Robins have conceded in their last five home games and the Blues have scored in each of their last four games, so goals at both ends could be on the cards.

Robins forward Anis Mehmeti ended a four-game goal drought in midweek and he looks a contender for an anytime effort here. The Albanian has five league goals for the season and has scored in three of his last five appearances at Ashton Gate.
