Cagliari Draw No Bet

Reason for tip

Cagliari have won two of their last four Serie A games avoided defeat in their last three at home. They have only lost two of their last 11 home league games and could run Atalanta close here. The visitors are finding it tough to fight on three fronts, having failed to win four of their last five away games as they perhaps lose some focus ahead of next week’s Europa League clash against Liverpool at Anfield.

Cagliari 2-1

Reason for tip

Cagliari have scored six goals across their last three home games and conceded in each of those matches. Atalanta have scored lots of goals on their travels of late, but if they are distracted by the match in Liverpool next week, this is one that they could lose if their defensive issues arise again.

Cagliari vs Atalanta Predictions

  • Cagliari have won two of their last four Serie A games avoided defeat in their last three at home
  • Atalanta have failed to win four of their last five away games and have a huge game at Anfield looming
  • Gianluca Gaetano has scored three goals in his last six appearances (three starts) and looks set to start again this weekend

Anfield clash looms for Atalanta

The time is right to oppose Atalanta as they travel to relegation-threatened Cagliari ahead of next week’s Europa League quarter-final date with Liverpool at Anfield.

The Nerazzurri are odds-on to win in Sardinia, but were beaten 1-0 by Fiorentina in the Coppa Italia in midweek and may come unstuck against an improving Rossoblu.

Claudio Ranieri’s side are fifth-bottom of the table and only two points clear of the drop zone ahead of this fixture. But they have won two of their last four games in Serie A and are undefeated in three at Unipol Domus.

Cagliari can compete at home

They have just as much to play for as the Bergamo outfit, who are battling to secure Champions League football, and have been pretty consistent at home since October.

Atalanta coach Gian Piero Gasperini has been chopping and changing his line-up to cope with the demands of playing on three fronts and it could all catch up with them here.

Backing Cagliari to win could be smart, but we are taking Drawn no Bet for some security as Atalanta have drawn three of their last six on the road, albeit with only one win during that sequence.
