Hosts can build on solid foundation

Cardiff should be backed to get a home win over Plymouth on Saturday. The visitors have not been great going forward this season and Cardiff manager Brian Barry-Murphy will be hoping his side can exploit that.

Cardiff beat mid-table Luton in their last League One game last weekend, securing a 1-0 victory with a second-half goal. Having been priced at 27/10 to win the game, Cardiff will be pleased with the three points – 86% of their goals this season have come after the break.
Cardiff are still unbeaten after five League One games this season.

The home side’s defence has been rock solid so far. No League One side has shipped fewer goals than the one that Cardiff have conceded in their five games.

No League One team has played more games this season in which at least one team has failed to score than Cardiff, and they were 1-0 winners against Luton in their last League One game. A 2-0 win for Cardiff looks a decent correct-score bet.
