Celta Vigo vs Levante Predictions

Celta inconsistent at home

Celta Vigo have lost six of their 12 home league matches this season, perhaps a sign of why they have been unable to push higher up the table, while they have failed to score on three occasions.

Eduardo Coudet’s side have won their last two matches at Balaidos without conceding, beating Osasuna and Rayo Vallecano 2-0, but goals have been a bit of a problem all season.

They have netted just 28 times in 25 games, but they do have one of the better defensive records, keeping three clean sheets in their last four and with both teams scoring in only half of their home games.

Can Levante build on big win?

Levante shocked La Liga by beating Atletico 1-0 last week, but they remain deep in trouble in the relegation zone and have only scored 11 goals in ten away matches.

Indeed, the division’s bottom club have failed to score in two of their last three matches on the road, while both teams have netted in only half of their dozen away fixtures.

Alessio Lisci’s side will look to keep this tight and see if they can sneak another win, just as they did in Madrid last time out.

I do not think both teams will score in this game, so that is my initial prediction, but I think the hosts will take the points courtesy of a 1-0 scoreline.
