Cercle Brugge vs Leuven Predictions

A late season upturn in form saw Cercle Brugge finish five points above relegation last term and they picked up where they left off at Beerschot last weekend. That 1-0 win made it four games unbeaten for the home side and they have won three league games on the trot on home soil. A fourth could be in the offing this weekend.

Leuven may have finished nine points and five positions better off than their hosts last term but it could have been a lot better but for a late-season collapse in form. They lost their last three league matches and failed to win their last five, and that disappointing spell continued last weekend with a draw at home to Zulte-Waragem. Cercle Brugge’s last home outing was a 3-0 win over Leuven and another win – albeit not as convincing – is my expectation on Saturday.
