Dortmund look geared to bounce back from losses

Borussia Dortmund find themselves 11 points behind Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga title race following a 3-2 defeat to the champions last week, but they should be able to get back to winning ways at Cologne.

That defeat came after they were knocked out of the Champions League by Serie A outfit Atalanta, so they need something to lift the mood and a visit west to Cologne could be timely.

BvB have scored at least twice in eight of their last 11 outings and they could prove too strong for Cologne, who have taken just a solitary point from their last four games.

Cologne’s defence is a concern

Cologne have hit a slump as they have claimed just two wins since the beginning of November and the defensive frailties of a team who have kept just one clean sheet in their last 18 league appearances.

Dortmund’s only two league defeats this season have both come against Bayern and it is difficult to see the Billy Goats getting  much of a foothold in teh game.

Goals can be expected so go for Dortmund to take three points from a game that features at least three goals, while correct-score punters are pointed towards a 3-1 win for the visitors.
