Crvena Zvezda Double Chance (Win or Draw)

Reason for tip

Crvena Zvezda are protecting a 25-match unbeaten home record that stretches back almost 14 months and they will hope to protect that impressive run against a Leipzig side that will head to Serbia on the back of successive defeats.

Draw 2-2

Reason for tip

Crvena Zvezda have drawn three of their previous four home Champions League games, the last two of which have finished 2-2 and with these two sides both having scored in the reverse meeting in Germany last month, 2-2 feels like a plausible outcome.

Crvena Zvezda vs RB Leipzig Predictions

  • Crvena Zvezda are unbeaten in 25 home matches across all competitions
  • The Serbian champions have drawn three of their last four home games in the Champions League
  • RB Leipzig are on a two-game losing streak

Serbians aiming to protect impressive home record

Crvena Zvezda may have lost two of their opening three matches in Champions League Group G, but their solitary point came in their only home fixture to date against Young Boys and they are a different proposition when playing on home soil.

Barak Bakhar’s side are unbeaten in their last 25 matches at Rajko Mitic Stadium across all competitions, with their last defeat at the venue coming against Monaco in the Europa League in September 2022.

The Serbian champions are also unbeaten in six Champions League home games (including qualifying), with three of the last four of those matches ending all-square.

Leipzig’s form wobbling

Leipzig had been on a three-match winning run that included a victory over Crvena Zvezda when the two teams met in Germany last month, but they have since lost back-to-back matches, with both defeats coming away from home.

While victory in Serbia, coupled with the result going their way in Group G’s other match, would see Leipzig qualify for the knockout stages with two games to spare, their recent dip in form makes that feel unlikely.

Crvena Zvezda’s last two home matches in the Champions League have ended 2-2 and with Leipzig having drawn with Bayern Munich by that scoreline earlier this season, this could well be a match that ends with the two teams sharing four goals.
