Regular wins continue to elude Palace, though Sunday’s hosts probably won’t be too concerned by that, as they’re in a very healthy league position and remain tough to get the better of.

Palace have the joint-best home defensive record in the top division. A lack of goals has meant Palace have struggled to pick up wins consistently, but this fixture against a Championship team that has been poor on the road presents them with a good opportunity to hit their stride.

Visitors moving forward

Derby come into this game off the back of two wins, so their tails will be up, while they appeared to be uplifted by the presence of Wayne Rooney on Thursday evening. However, the Rams’ record on the road is not easy to overlook.

There’s no getting away from it, Derby have been dreadful on their travels this term. Sunday’s visitors have claimed just seven travelling points in the Championship and have won only one of their 12 away matches.

They’re now without an away win in over three months. They’ve lost six of their last seven, scoring just one goal in the process. Therein lies the problem.

Palace too hard ignore

The hosts are simply too hard to ignore in the betting and, quite frankly, could be a bit shorter. They may not be prolific winners in the league but their very solid efforts against Premier League teams, especially at this venue, point towards success against a Championship side.
