Lazio clinch European win

Lazio lay down a marker with a 4-2 Europa League win over last season’s Europa Conference League runners-up Feyenoord on Thursday, bouncing back from suffering a first defeat of the season against Napoli last week. While Maurizio Sarri’s team have the firepower to beat anyone, draws with Sampdoria and Torino demonstrate their inconsistency, and their defensive failings may just be exploited by Verona.

Verona finally claimed their first win of the season last time out, a richly deserved 2-1 success against Sampdoria. Much like Lazio, Verona have continued to entertain this term, with both teams netting in five of their six competitive games and a total of 15 goals being scored in their five league outings.
