TNS to cruise into second round

Welsh side TNS picked up a commanding first-leg victory last week when they hosted Montenegro’s champions. A 3-0 win over FK Decic has put TNS on the verge of the second qualifying round of the Champions League, a stage they haven’t reached since 2019.

Decic were surprise title winners last term but they’ve struggled since making it into European football. They’ve lost four of their first five games in Europe, failing to make it out of the first round in each of their previous European campaigns.

Decic were eliminated from the Conference League qualifiers by Kosovo’s Drita in 2021/22 and then again by Dinamo Minsk in 2022/23. However, their biggest European defeat came at the hands of TNS last week and another loss looms against a more experienced Welsh outfit.
