Derby vs Norwich Predictions
- Derby have won all three of their Championship home games this season
- Norwich have won only seven of their last 26 away games in the Championship
- The Canaries have lost four of their last five Championship away matches to nil
Rams proving reliable at fortress Pride Park
Home fixtures may prove pivotal for Derby in their pursuit of Championship survival and they can make it four wins from four at Pride Park with victory over a Norwich side still seeking consistency under manager Johannes Hoff Thorup.
The Rams won their final six home games on their way to League One promotion last season and they have carried that form into the Championship, recording 1-0 victories over Middlesbrough and Cardiff either side of a 3-0 beating of Bristol City.
Paul Warne’s side have suffered defeat in all three away games this season at Blackburn, Watford and Sheffield United, highlighting how vital home form could be in their bid to establish themselves as a Championship side.
Canaries have plenty to prove on their travels
Derby may require more against a Norwich outfit that will be brimming with belief after last weekend’s 4-1 rout at home to Watford, but the Canaries are proving less efficient on their travels.
Norwich have already suffered defeat on trips to newly-promoted Oxford and Swansea this season, which means they failed to score in losing four of their last five away league games.
In fact, the Canaries have won only seven of their last 26 away matches in the Championship, which is a minute return when you consider that they made the playoffs last season.
Manager Thorup appears to be still moulding his Norwich side together and they could be vulnerable at Derby, who have won their last ten competitive home games.
Correct-score punters can side with another 1-0 win for Derby given four of the last five meetings between these two sides have gone under 2.5 goals.
