Doncaster can impress

Doncaster look set to get the better of Burton at the Eco-Power Stadium on Saturday. They have had a tough run of games recently, facing Luton, AFC Wimbledon and Bradford – three of the top seven – and taking three points from those games. This looks an easier assignment for Grant McCann’s side.

Rovers are tenth, having won five, drawn one and lost four of their nine games this season, while Burton are 22nd with two wins, two draws and five losses. The hosts are eight points clear of the visitors, and that gap is underlined by their current trajectories.

Doncaster seem to be firing on all cylinders at home, having enjoyed success in four of their last six League One games, while the away side are enduring a rough spell, with the Brewers failing to win seven of their last eight League One matches. The visitors’ slump is compounded by their struggles in front of goal, with Burton failing to find a way to score in five of their last seven League One games.

A narrow 1-0 win for Doncaster looks the most likely outcome in the correct-score market. Three of their five league victories this season have come via a 1-0 scoreline and three of Burton’s last four League One games have produced under 2.5 goals.
