Tight contest in prospect at Tannadice 

If ever a match had the look of a 0-0 from the outset it would be St Mirren’s trip to Tannadice on Tuesday to face struggling Dundee United.

The Terrors have dropped into the Premiership’s bottom half after a run of five straight defeats while the Buddies are still occupying a bottom four position with just a mere one point advantage over Ross County.

Both teams have issues scoring goals and, after a two-week break over Christmas and New Year, there seems very little evidence to suggest this won’t be a stale affair. And it wouldn’t be the first between these clubs in recent times with three of the last four meetings between the clubs producing not a single goal.
