Dynamo can dig in for a draw

Lazio may have to settle for a point in Hamburg when they face Dynamo Kyiv at Volksparkstadion in the Europa League on Wednesday night. The Romans lost their second away game of the Serie A season on Sunday when Fiorentina came from behind to win 2-1 at the Artemio Franchi.

Defensive errors from Nuno Tavares and Matteo Guendouzi proved costly but the defeat was not as bad as their previous one against Udinese in terms of the overall performance levels.

Marco Baroni is integrating some new players into the team and they will take time to fuse with the established ones while the absence of striker Taty Castellanos through injury hampered the Biancoceleste in attack.

Clash may come too soon for Castellanos 

The hope is for Castellanos to feature against the Ukrainian side on Wednesday, but the match may come too soon for him.

Dynamo Kyiv also have a few players missing with defender Denis Popov out with a back problem, midfielders Nazar Voloshin and Nikolai Mikhailenko suffering from thigh injuries and Vladimir Shepelev also struggling for fitness.

Despite these issues, Dynamo are doing well domestically and fought out a close couple of legs in the Champions League qualifiers against Rangers and RB Salzburg. They probably do not have the quality to win this game, but they can dig in for a point against a Lazio side that has yet to click.
