Bochum Double Chance (Win or Draw)

Reason for tip

Frankfurt are winless in their last six competitive games whilst outsiders Bochum have defeated Leipzig and Cologne across the previous two rounds, so we’re taking a chance on the strugglers.

Draw 0-0

Reason for tip

Bochum have kept back-to-back Bundesliga clean sheets ahead of this and they may need another if they’re to take a point from European hopefuls Frankfurt.

Eintracht Frankfurt vs Bochum Predictions

  • Frankfurt are winless across their last six games.
  • Bochum are one of only two sides to achieve maximum points across the last two rounds.
  • Bochum have won two of the last three H2H encounters.

Faltering Frankfurt could stumble again

Although Frankfurt are undoubtedly the stronger of these sides in terms of quality, they’ve failed to win each of their last six competitive clashes and look to be at risk of dropping out of the European places come the end of this round unless they can justify favouritism.

They have been rock solid at home in domestic competitions this year, with four wins and a draw perhaps inspiring confidence that they can bounce back from their recently rotten form against Bochum. However, the visitors are a side fighting for their lives and could well outplay their price.

Thomas Reis’ men are one of only two Bundesliga sides to win their last two league games and despite having spent much of the season down in the drop zone, those wins have pulled them four points clear of the bottom-three. With wins coming against two sides competing in Europe this season, Cologne and Leipzig, another stunning result isn’t beyond the Bundesliga minnows.

Back Bochum to nick a result

Despite Bochum’s recent resurgence, they’re rightful outsiders here with 11 defeats from their 13 Bundesliga away games this season. Even so, they’ve proven that they can mix it with the big boys in the last couple of rounds and as such, that huge price looks like a bit of value on yet another shock.

We’re going for Bochum in the double chance market here, although for smaller stakes we’re going for a drab, tight and tense goalless draw in the correct score market. Bochum have kept back-to-back clean sheets and they may need another to take anything from this game against the Eagles.
