Ella Toone to score or assist
Ella Toone only managed a substitute appearance in England’s opener against France, but she started and scored against the Netherlands before having a hand in three of England’s goals against Wales.
With 23 goals in 63 appearances for the Lionesses, the Manchester United winger will be a threat again on Tuesday.
Cristina Girelli to score anytime
Cristina Girelli is third in Italy’s record goalscorers with 58 international goals, and the Juventus forward has proven her worth again so far in Euro 2025.
She scored both of Italy’s goals in their 2-1 win over Norway and has found the net in two of her three starts this tournament.
Arianna Caruso to have 2+ shots
Arianna Caruso hasn’t found the net for Italy since their opener against Belgium, but she has had a team-high 12 shots in her four appearances.
The 25-year-old has had three or more shots in three of her four outings, and looks a good price to have multiple attempts against England.
Arianna Caruso to be fouled 2+ times
Italy’s leading shot-taker also tops the charts for fouls drawn for Gli Azzurri, being on the receiving end of ten fouls in four appearances.
She has been fouled multiple times in all four outings, including three fouls drawn against both Spain and Norway.
England Women vs Italy Women Predictions
- England are bidding to reach a third major tournament final on the bounce
- The Lionesses are unbeaten in their last five meetings with Italy (W4, D1)
- Italy have made it to the semi-finals of the Euros for the first time since 1997
Semi-final may not be cagey
England Women are now just two wins away from defending their European Championship crown after riding their luck to make it through to the semi-finals with Thursday’s comeback penalty shootout success over Sweden.
The Lionesses were 2-0 down in that game and although their comeback was impressive, it further underlined some of the defensive deficiencies within Sarina Wiegman’s squad, as they have conceded in all but one of their games at this tournament.
Italy certainly have the attacking tools to hurt England, not least with two-goal quarter-final star Cristiana Girelli, and like their semi-final opponents, the Azzurre have scored in all their matches at these finals.
Lionesses should have the firepower to win
If this does come down to a battle of who has the best attack, then England, with the likes of Lauren James, Alessia Russo, Chloe Kelly and Michelle Agyemang available, should be able to come through.
The reigning European champions, who are bidding to reach a third major tournament final on the bounce, are unbeaten in their last five meetings with Italy, but they have conceded in all but one of those games.
The last two meetings have finished 5-1 and 2-1 in favour of the Lionesses and something similar could play out on Tuesday, which would be enough to send England through to the showpiece game on July 27th and deny Italy a place in their first final since 1997.
