Everton vs AFC Bournemouth Predictions
- Everton have drawn four of their last six matches across all competitions
- Bournemouth have drawn 10 of their 25 Premier League matches this season
- The Cherries have shared the spoils in seven of their 12 games since losing to Everton in early December
Home wins hard to come by for Toffees
Everton boosted their European hopes with a come-from-behind win at Fulham on Saturday, but victories have not been as forthcoming for David Moyes’ side on home soil of late, as they have taken just eight points from their last eight league games at Hill Dickinson Stadium.
The Toffees have also been drawing a lot of matches over recent weeks, sharing the spoils in four of their last six across all competitions, with each of their last three on home soil – against Wolves and Leeds in the Premier League and Sunderland in the FA Cup – finishing 1-1.
Cherries turning into draw specialists
Bournemouth have also been drawing plenty of games of late, with seven of their last 12 matches ending all-square, a run that dates back to a 1-0 home loss against Everton in the reverse meeting between the sides in early December.
Saturday’s 1-1 share with Aston Villa was the Cherries’ 10th league draw of the season and, alongside Brighton, they are the only team in the top flight to have reached double figures for draws.
Andoni Iraola’s side have drawn two of their last four games 1-1, and with Everton’s last three home fixtures ending in that same manner, a repeat outcome could be on the cards between these two draw specialists who are separated by just three points in the standings.
Rayan to continue flying start
There are potential goalscorers in both teams, with Everton’s Thierno Barry having netted four goals across his last seven league appearances after scoring just once in his first 18 outings in the competition,
However, the France under-21 international has failed to score in his last two and may be replaced by Beto in the starting line-up on Tuesday, which makes Bournemouth’s January recruit, Rayan, perhaps a more tempting proposition in the anytime scorer market.
Despite being just 19, Rayan has hit the ground running since arriving in England, providing an assist from the bench on his debut against Wolves before netting the equaliser in the draw with Villa on Saturday.
The in-form teenager can continue his flying start this midweek.
