FCSB can make most of home advantage

Romanian outfit FCSB come up against Shakhter Karagandy of Kazakhstan in Europa Conference League qualifying on Thursday.

This is the first fixture in this tournament for these two teams but both have already started their domestic seasons.  FCSB began their season in Romania with a 1-1 draw at Botosani last week, while Shakther have already played 19 games in the Kazakhstan Premier League and have also been competing in the Kazakhstan Cup.

FCSB failed to win any of their final four home games last season but did manage two pre-season friendly victories in Bucharest and they should have a bit too much for Karagandy on Thursday.  The Kazakh outfit are without a win in their last six games on the road, with three defeats and three draws.

FCSB finished as the runners-up in Liga 1 last season and they should be able to claim a fairly comfortable win in the home leg of this tie and we feel a 2-0 success for the Romanian outfit has a chance in the correct score market.
