Manchester City Over 2.5 Team Goals

Reason for tip

Man City have scored 15 times across their last three league games alone, while they’ve scored three or more in eight of their last nine matches. The Citizens are in stellar form and Erling Haaland is scoring for fun, while Fulham look checked out after settling in midtable and they’ve lost every meeting with a top-four side this season.

Manchester City 4-0

Reason for tip

City have scored four goals in three of their last four league games, while they meet a Fulham side who have lost to nil in two of their last three at home. The Cottagers have lost six of their last eight and a heavy defeat is on the cards.

John Stones To Score Anytime

Reason for tip

Stones has scored in two of his last four appearances and the defender is getting further up the pitch in his new role. Stones has taken most of his shots from set pieces, an area where Fulham have struggled this term. Given his recent form in front of goal, Stones is a great option to find the net.

Fulham vs Manchester City Predictions

  • Fulham have lost six of their last eight matches
  • The Cottagers have lost all six clashes with the top four this season
  • City have scored at least three times in eight of their last nine matches
  • The hosts have lost to nil in two of their last three at home

City’s title surge continues

Man City’s form in recent weeks has been ominous, with the Citizens’ relentless winning run putting them in the driving seat for a treble. Their 4-1 win over Arsenal on Wednesday has all but ended the title race, despite City still sitting second in the table.

The Citizens are two points shy of Arsenal with two games in hand, while the Gunners’ are on a poor run which has seen them go four without a victory. City are now in complete control of the title race and they’d need some extreme slip-ups to allow the title to slip from their grasp now.

City’s seven-game run to the title starts on Sunday, when they head to a Fulham side who have little left to fight for following an impressive return to the top-flight. Having seen the champions roll over the league leaders, they look good for a big win at Craven Cottage.

Fulham fading after a bright year

Fulham have a comfortable cushion in the top half of the Premier League table, but their good season seems to be fizzling out. It’s hard to see Marco Silva’s side pushing City as things stand, especially with Aleksandar Mitrovic still serving a suspension.

Even as Fulham pushed for a European spot, facing off against the top sides was their downfall. The Cottagers have lost all six clashes with the current top four, while they were also knocked out of the FA Cup quarter-finals by Manchester United.

The hosts head into this clash with six defeats in their last eight games and considering their struggles against the league’s top teams, an in-form City side should put on a show.

City to march on

City head into this clash having scored at least three times in each of their last four league games, winning three of those 4-1. Eight of their last nine have seen them score at least three times, which makes them heavy favourites for the points in this trip.

While Erling Haaland is in inspired form, City are getting contributions from across the pitch. John Stones has chipped in with a goal in two of his last four games having taken up a new midfield role. He’s proving a threat from set pieces too, with Fulham proving to be vulnerable from corners. Given Stones’ recent scoring touch, he’s a great option to find the net in this clash, having taken most of his shots this term as a result of set pieces.

Fulham have lost to nil in two of their last three at home, including a heavy 3-0 defeat at the hands of Arsenal. Given the form City are in approaching this one, they are worthy favourites and widely expected to produce a comfortable win. Back City to score at least three times, with a 4-0 win my correct score prediction.
