Gefle and Falkenberg are two teams that looked destined for relegation from the Sweden Allsvenskan this season. Gefle, who actually managed a 10th place finish and avoided the drop by 11 points last season, come into this game in horrendous form and second from bottom of the table. Falkenberg narrowly avoided relegation after winning their relegation playoff against Sirius last season, but are currently rock bottom of the division.

Gefle are actually in the worse form of the two. They went into the summer break in the midst of a seven match losing streak and a ten match winless streak. Their four points from their opening two league games seem an awful long time ago now, and their five point tally from their 12 games puts them eight points adrift of the relegation playoff position and ten points off safety.

Falkenberg are just below them on an even more meak four points from their 12 games. They, like their opponents, have also lost seven games in a row, although one of these was a mid-season friendly.

They began their campaign with four straight defeats in the Allsvenskan before getting off the mark with a surprise win against title holders Norrkoping. They followed this with a drawn at Jonkopings Sodra, but then embarked on the six match losing streak they are currently on.

Both of these sides look incapable of picking up a victory at the moment. Gefle have managed just two points at home this season, whilst Falkenberg have picked up one on the road.

Falkenberg have managed to find the net in three of their five away days and in nine of their 12 overall league games though, whilst Gefle have kept just one clean sheet at home and one overall.

with both teams’ defences struggling so much I can’t see either of them keeping a clean sheet, so my prediction is for both teams to score at 3/4 along with a 1-1 correct score prediction at 6/1.
