Getafe vs Sevilla Betting Tips and Predictions 

The pressure on Getafe manager Fran Escriba’s shoulders is now huge after a run of 7 successive league defeats have seen them plummet down the table into 17th place and they are only outside the relegation zone on goal difference. In a league when managers come and go very quickly it is a bit of a surprise that he still has a job and another defeat here could well be his final one in charge of a club that is established in the top flight despite attendances that are by some distance the lowest in the league besides Eibar. They were thrashed 4-0 at Las Palmas in midweek and they will need to be much better against Sevilla.

One crumb of comfort for Getafe is that Sevilla are yet to win away in the league this season. That in itself is a bit of a mystery given their home form has been stunning and their 1-0 win over Eibar on Tuesday cemented themselves in 5th place and they are looking good for another season in the Europa League next year although the top four will be tough to catch.

Sevilla played well at Barcelona last weekend too and had enough chances to win the game and they are too good a side for the winless run on the road to go on much longer. Confidence in the Getafe camp is at rock bottom and they’ve conceded 14 goals in La Liga since they last got on the scoresheet themselves. Therefore backing a strong Sevilla team to win 2-0 at 17/2 looks an attractive bet here.
