Trinidad and Tobago to pick up a victory

Not much was expected of Guatemala in this competition and they’ve lived up to that low billing by losing both of their games without scoring a goal. They’ve managed just two shots on goal across those two matches as well with not much going their way in this Gold Cup campaign. A win here would ensure they don’t finish bottom of the group however and they will have plenty of motivation to find the three points.

Trinidad and Tobago looked to get their campaign off to a great start when they picked up a point in a 0-0 draw against Mexico in their first match. It looked like a winner take all match in their second group game against El Salvador but they came up short, losing 2-0 and meaning their chances of qualifying for the next round were slim at best. They’ve also yet to score a goal in the tournament and have also managed just two shots on target in their two games so far.

There doesn’t look like much to look forward to in this game with neither side looking very inspiring and we’re confident in backing this game to see under 2.5 goals. Neither side has scored in the tournament so far and, with just four shots on target between them, we feel that the under market has the most value. Trinidad and Tobago do look the slightly better side though and, although we considered backing a 0-0 draw, we think the island nations will have enough to claim a 1-0 win.
