Borussia Dortmund to Win and Over 2.5 Match Goals

Reason for tip

This is a fixture Borussia Dortmund have dominated down the years, triumphing in each of the last four meetings, and they may have Hoffenheim’s measure again. The visitors have lost only one of their last 24 Bundesliga battles.

8/5odds when tipped

Borussia Dortmund 2-1

Reason for tip

With two free-flowing attacks on show, this should be a lively contest and correct-score punters can plunge for a 2-1 victory. That was the scoreline when Hoffenheim lost at home to Freiburg on the opening weekend of the season.

TSG Hoffenheim vs Borussia Dortmund Predictions

  • Borussia Dortmund have won the last four meetings between the pair
  • Borussia Dortmund are unbeaten in their opening five Bundesliga games
  • Both teams have scored in four of Hoffenheim’s five league outings

Dortmund can confirm their superiority

Hoffenheim have not looked back since suffering defeat at home to Freiburg on the opening weekend of the Bundesliga season, rattling off four straight wins which includes three victories on the road.

However, this is a fixture Borussia Dortmund have dominated down the years, triumphing in each of the last four meetings, and they may have Hoffenheim’s measure again.

Edin Terzic’s side have started the new campaign in equally convincing fashion, coping well with the high-profile departure of Jude Bellingham to Real Madrid with a five-game unbeaten run.

Draws with Bochum and Heidenheim may be questioned, but they have responded well to those setbacks with back-to-back successes over Freiburg and Wolfsburg.

Free-scoring encounter could suit visitors

Goals look assured given both teams have scored in four of Hoffenheim’s five league games and those outings have combined to feature 18 goals.

But a gung-ho game could play into the hands of Dortmund, who boast plenty of firepower of their own with Donyell Malen, Marco Reus and Julian Brandt having made particularly bright starts to the campaign.

Dortmund have lost only one of their last 24 Bundesliga matches and that came courtesy of a 4-2 defeat at Bayern Munich in April of last season.

That makes the visitors the most likely winners in what should prove a lively contest, and correct-score punters can plunge for a 2-1 victory.
