Dortmund to keep rolling on the road

Borussia Dortmund are in good form and look set to continue their impressive away record when they visit Hoffenheim on Saturday. Niko Kovac’s side have gone ten games without losing on the road in the Bundesliga and have won their last two away games.

Borussia Dortmund are second in the league, four places above Hoffenheim, with both teams having won more games than they’ve lost this season. The hosts are sixth with 15 wins and eight defeats, while Dortmund have won 19 and lost three.

Dortmund have scored an average of 1.86 goals a game in their seven Bundesliga away games against other top-half teams this season, while Hoffenheim have conceded an average of 2.83 goals a game in their six games against teams in the top four.

There’s a lot to like about Borussia Dortmund’s current form. They have won on four of their last five Bundesliga away trips and have gone unbeaten in nine of the last ten head-to-head meetings with Hoffenheim.

The visitors will fancy their chances of getting on the scoresheet. Borussia Dortmund have scored three goals or more in ten of their 29 Bundesliga games this season, and they have averaged almost two goals a game in their 13 matches against other top-half teams.

Hoffenheim could do with turning things around, having failed to win six of their last seven Bundesliga games. They have gone three home games without recording a victory.

With the last three Hoffenheim games in the Bundesliga all finishing with three or more goals, the 2-1 win for Borussia Dortmund looks like a decent correct-score option in an entertaining encounter.
