Huracan vs Atletico Nacional Predictions
Atletico Nacional had a rather disappointing first half of the season last year, but they made up for it in the Torneo Finalizacion by finishing top of the regular table and making it to the finals of the Championship where they beat Junior on penalties. Atletico Nacional’s season began almost exactly a month ago when they kicked the campaign off with a 5-0 aggregate win in the Colombian Super Cup, and since then they have won three and lost one of their Primera A fixtures to take them to 4th in the table.
Huracan had a pretty disastrous season last year domestically, but their runners up position in the Copa Sudamericana last year granted them qualification to the first round of the Copa Libertadores. They managed to get through this qualification round on away goals after a 2-2 aggregate draw with Caracas, but their 23rd place finish in the Argentina Primera Division last season will still be hurting. They have won two and lost two of their matches in 2016 so far, with back to back defeats against Atletico Rafaela and Caracas making up their most recent results.
Reasons for Betting Tips
Huracan are missing a few players due to a terrifying accident involving the team bus that almost saw them plunge off a cliff, meanwhile the visitors have a clean bill of health. Atletico Nacional are also looking much better than their opponents in terms of form; six of their last seven matches have ended in an Atletico Nacional win. Huracan, on the other hand, have lost their last two matches in all competitions and finished last season in a lowly 23rd position in the Primera Division.
This gives the visitors the edge in my opinion, and they look good value for a win. They are away from home though, so I think a Draw No Bet backing is the best option.
Recent Form

Statistics
Atletico Nacional have won 74% of their league fixtures so far this season, with that statistics rising to 83% when you take into account their Super Cup victory.
Team News
Huracan – After the team bus crashed and overturned earlier this month Huracan have a few injury concerns, although to be fair they were lucky that the bus didn’t fall off a cliff and have the whole squad killed. Midfielders Patricio Toranzo and Lucas Villarruel join defender Hugo Nervo and striker Diego Mendoza on the sidelines.
Atletico Nacional – There are no confirmed absentees for the visitors.
