Inter Milan vs Atalanta Predictions

Inter have enjoyed seven successive Serie A wins over Atalanta and they should be backed to extend that run when they host the visitors at San Siro on Saturday.

Inter finished last season with 81 points, seven ahead of Atalanta, and they are leading Serie A this season too. The hosts have won 22 of their 28 games, while Atalanta are on 12 wins from their 28 matches.

Inter are in form at home, having enjoyed success in ten of their last 12 home games in Serie A, including a run of four consecutive victories.

They have kept clean sheets in the last four Serie A meetings with Atalanta and haven’t conceded a goal in four of their last six league games. Atalanta, on the other hand, have failed to keep a clean sheet in four of their last five Serie A games.

Inter Milan have been prolific in front of goal this season, scoring three or more goals in nine of their 28 Serie A games. No team has more goals than Inter’s 64, and they have been especially impressive at home, averaging 2.71 goals per game from their 14 matches on their own turf. They have also scored an average of over two goals a game in their encounters with other top-half teams.

Inter are in form, having won 17 of their last 20 Serie A games. They have gone seven home games unbeaten and have lost just one of their last ten on home soil.

Inter may be able to edge out Atalanta in a close game, with a 2-1 home win the correct-score pick. Four of Atalanta’s last five Serie A games have ended with both sides scoring, and there should be goals for both teams here.
