Inter Milan To Win To Nil

Reason for tip

Serie A champions Inter Milan have not sat still after landing the Scudetto and new signings John Stones and Djed Spence look set to start their Nerazzurri careers with a smooth-sailing victory. New Monza manager Ivan Juric has a woeful record against Inter and they haven’t added enough quality to suggest they can find the net at the San Siro, let alone earn a point.

Inter Milan 3-0

Reason for tip

With Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram up front, goals are always on the agenda when Inter play. They scored 28 goals in their final ten matches of the 2025-26 campaign and look set to give Monza the most unwelcome of returns to Serie A.

Inter Milan vs Monza Predictions

  • Inter are unbeaten in 12 games, winning seven
  • Monza have won only two of their last seven away matches
  • Teams managed by Ivan Juric have lost 12 and won just one of their 15 games against Inter

Champions can start with a win

Despite a summer which saw idolised manager Simone Inzaghi depart, Inter cruised to the title last season, finishing 11 points clear of second-place Napoli to retake the Scudetto from the Partenopei.

They are expected to be the best team in Italy again and they should have no issues in getting their title defence off to the perfect start on Saturday.

Cristian Chivu’s side open with a home match with Monza, who are riding the crest of the wave which comes with being promoted through the playoffs but look set to be brought down to earth at the San Siro.

Promoted Monza may be in for a rude awakening

Monza opened their campaign with a 3-0 win over second-tier Avellino. However, a trip to Inter is likely to provide a rude awakening.

The arrivals of John Stones, Djed Spence and Aleksandar Stankovic add steel to an already solid side and the Nerazzurri should stroll to victory.

Monza manager Ivan Juric is greatly experienced but his pragmatic tactics rarely trouble the top sides. Juric has coached his teams to consecutive defeats to nil in his last five meetings with Inter across spells with Torino and Roma, and this looks an ideal starting spot for the Italian champions.
