Jiangsu Suning vs Beijing Guoan Predictions & Betting Tips, Match Previews

Jiangsu Suning haven’t messed about in trying to improve their standing in the Chinese Super League. They have spent big in 2016 with the captures of both Alex Teixeira and Ramires – Two players who are top notch in the quality department.

This big spending has paid dividends so far. They finished 9th in last season’s Super League table, but coming into the final stages of the 2016 season they find themselves in 2nd position. They do have an eight point deficit to make up on leaders and champions Guangzhou Evergrande, but they also have a four point lead on 3rd placed Shanghai Shenhua and have already surpassed their points total from last season.

A Chinese Super League title isn’t entirely out of the question either. The hosts are in good form and have won three of their last four league matches after a slight dip in the middle of the season. They will feel confident of being able to keep their form going for the remaining eight games of the league campaign.

Beijing Guoan haven’t been so frivolous with the cash, and as such they have found themselves struggling a bit this term. They are currently in 8th position in the table, a significant demotion on their 4th place finish last term. They are currently seven points adrift of that 4th position, but a win on Sunday could move them as high as 6th in the table.

A win might be difficult to come by though. The visitors have only won two of their last eight outings in all competitions and they’re facing a Jiangsu Suning side who are unbeaten on home turf in almost a year. Their last defeat at home came last September, and since then they have won eight and drawn five of their 13 home games in the Chinese Super League.

Jiangsu Suning have been lethal in front of goal at home recently as well. They have scored 14 goals in their last four matches and have netted at least two in eight of their last 11 home matches. This makes odds of 6/5 for Jiangsu Suning Over 1.5 Team Goals look a good backing to me, and I’m also going for a 3-1 correct score prediction at 16/1.
