Torino vs Inter Milan Predictions

  • Torino are winless in six games, all of which contained a maximum of three goals.
  • Inter’s 1-0 win at Liverpool saw them exit the Champions League, but represented a fourth consecutive clean sheet for the Nerazzurri.
  • Inter beat Torino 1-0 in this season’s reverse fixture.

Are Nerazzurri recovering in good time?

Inter were knocked off the top of Serie A during a poor run of six without a win in all competitions, but back-to-back shutout victories over Salernitana have turned that sequence into a four-match unbeaten run, as the Nerazzurri look to defend their title.

Inter were excellent for long periods of their 1-0 Champions League win at Anfield, before Alexis Sanchez’ red card put paid to their hopes of an incredible comeback. They have now, however, kept four successive clean sheets after conceding in eight of their previous ten, and their record of just 22 goals conceded in 27 league games is only bettered by title rivals Napoli.

Torino’s recent trajectory has them going in the opposite direction, with Il Toro lurching from a run of four wins in five Serie A games to a sequence of six without a win. All six of those games have contained a maximum of three goals, and Ivan Juric’s team have suffered dire home losses to Cagliari and Venezia in their last two outings in Turin.

Back Inter for a low-scoring victory

Given that Inter look to have gotten themselves back on track of late, particularly through some excellent defensive performances, backing them to beat a Torino team in dire form is a given.

However, with under 3.5 goals being netted in nine of the defending champions’ last ten games in all competitions, adding a maximum of three goals to be scored could be a way of giving punters value while keeping numerous scorelines in play.

Inter beat Torino 1-0 back in December, and a repeat of that tense victory could represent a decent correct score prediction, as Simone Inzaghi’s men rediscover their solidity.
