Kosovo -2

Reason for tip

Kosovo have won three of their last six home games while Andorra have lost four of their last five away games. The Dardanians have covered a -1 handicap in both recent games against Cyprus, who are ranked 48 places above Andorra, and could cover a -2 handicap against a depleted vising team.

Kosovo 4-1

Reason for tip

A 4-1 home win is taken for correct score purposes because Kosovo have hit a combined tally of eight goals in their last two home internationals that on-song Mallorca striker Vedat Muriqi started, although they conceded on both occasions too.

Trust Dardanians to trounce Tricolours

Kosovo are a much better side than their recent results would suggest and are well capable of knocking three goals in without reply against a limited Andorra line-up.

The Tricolours travel to Pristina without one of their best midfielders, Marc Rebes, who was sent off in their 2-0 home defeat to Romania on Saturday. They created nothing of note in that match and sat in a deep block in a bid to restrict Romania’s goalscoring opportunities.

They will do nothing different in Tuesday’s game, but Kosovo might have the answer to breaking through a highly-populated defence in Vedat Muriqi. Unlike Romania’s forwards, who play at home or in Serie B, Muriqi has been finding the net on a regular basis in Spain’s top flight, bagging 10 in 23 appearances for Mallorca.

Muriqi can make his presence felt

He knows how to sniff out goals in a packed box and can use his body to create space for others, which will be very useful against a team of part-time players. Muriqi is also a deadly penalty-taker and it is worth noting that Andorra have been conceding a lot of spot-kicks in the last year.

Backing Kosovo to win by a three-goal margin is an enticing play at almost 3/1 here as they covered a -1 handicap away to a Cyprus side that is ranked much higher than Andorra and then thrashed the same team 5-1 at home in last year’s Nations League.

The Dardanians’ recent results have been not as good, but they were without their entire best starting Xi for November’s drawn friendlies against Armenia and Faroe Islands. A 4-1 home win is taken for correct score purposes because Kosovo have hit eight goals in their last two home internationals that Muriqi started and conceded on both occasions too.
