Lecce vs Vicenza Predictions

• Lecce have won five of their last seven home league games.
• Lecce have scored at least two goals in six of their last seven home league games.
• Vicenza have conceded 32 goals in 17 Serie B games this season (average 1.88 per game).
• Lecce have beaten Vicenza 2-1 in the last two league meetings between the sides.

Lupi have hunger for goals

Lecce can get back on track in Serie B with a win against basement club Vicenza on Monday that should feature a few goals.

I Lupi were beaten 1-0 by promotion rivals Pisa last weekend, but bounced back with an away win over Serie A Spezia in the cup that has earned them a trip to Roma in January.

Marco Baroni rotated his forward line in midweek, so should have some fresh legs available for the visit of a Vicenza side that have lost 14 of their 17 league games. His team are the highest scorers in the division at home and should continue their four-game run of registering at least two goals at Via del Mare.

Visitors might be good for a goal

Vicenza coach Cristian Brocchi feels his side’s performances are better than their results, but they are getting punished for every error at the moment. However, only four goals conceded in their last four road trips is a marked improvement on their early-season away form when they leaked 13 in five.

But none of their last four away opponents are as strong as Lecce are at home, so we feel a couple of goals are likely again.

And, given Vicenza have not scored more than once in their last five away games, that should also be enough for the three points.  A 2-1 scoreline offers a bit of value because Vicenza have scored in two of their last three aways and the last two meetings between these sides have finished that way.
