• Legia have lost eight of their nine games since beating Leicester 1-0 in the reverse fixture.

Foxes can move into qualification spots

Leicester City have some work to do if they are to reach the knockout stages of the Europa League but they can move into second spot with a win over visitors Legia on Thursday.

The Polish club won the reverse fixture 1-0 but the Foxes were arguably unlucky not to at least claim a point in Warsaw, as they created more chances and enjoyed more possession.

Since then, Legia’s form has nosedived and they have eight defeats in the nine games following that win over Leicester, winning just once – against third tier Swit Skolwin in the cup.

Leicester have also struggled for form and are winless in their last four games (D2, L2) but they are yet to be beaten at the King Power Stadium in Europe, having draw both of their group games.

Leicester are the huge favourites to win so to squeeze a bit of value out of this game I’m going to back the Premier League side to win with a -1 handicap as the main bet. The Foxes haven’t been putting teams to the sword this season, but six of Legia’s eight defeats since their win in the reverse fixture have been by two or more goals so this could be an opportunity for Leicester to claim a big win. A 3-0 victory for the hosts is the correct score selection as Legia have conceded at least three goals in each of their last three games.
