- Eighth-placed Lens have failed to win any of their last three home fixtures (D2, L1).
Montpellier Can Resume Winning Ways
In-form Montpellier were stopped in their tracks by champions PSG last weekend, but Michel Der Zakarian’s side have the tools to mount an immediate riposte when they take on Lens this Saturday.
La Paillade were mightily impressive throughout November as they racked up a perfect four wins from four and they were well in the game at Stade de la Mosson a week ago until PSG managed to assert late on through goals from Moise Kean and Kylian Mbappe.
That performance as well as their prior victories will have given Der Zakarian’s squad a lot of encouragement and belief that they’re not too far behind the best in France and a push for Champions League football this season is by no means out of the question.
Montpellier are just three points adrift of the top three as they travel to Stade Bolleart-Delelis this Saturday and with just one defeat from six on the road this term (W3, D2), the visitors should be backed to secure a positive result against a Lens side who have failed to win any of their last three outings at home (D2, L1).
Lens have lost just once from six on their own patch this season so punters are advised to take a bit of insurance on this clash, and backing Montpellier in the ‘Draw No Bet’ market rates the best option as stakes will be returned if the action ends all square.
Nonetheless, we are tipping up Montpellier in the correct score market and Der Zarkarian’s side are fancied to land all three points via a 1-2 score-line.
