Visitors to claim comfortable win

Borussia Dortmund are in form and should be backed to continue their good run away at Mainz on Saturday. The hosts have gone seven games without a win at home in the league and have suffered two straight defeats.

Mainz are 13th in the table with one win, one draw and two losses, while Borussia Dortmund are second, having won three and drawn one of their four games.

Borussia Dortmund beat Wolfsburg 1-0 last weekend to keep up their recent winning trend and bring the visitors’ five-game unbeaten run to an end. Dortmund, who have been leading at half-time in nine consecutive games, didn’t allow Wolfsburg a single shot on target.

Borussia Dortmund are in excellent form, having won ten of their last 12 Bundesliga games and four of their last six away trips. In contrast, Mainz have managed just one victory in their last nine home games.

The visitors will be confident of finding the net, with Borussia Dortmund having scored in 14 of their last 16 league games. They have also been prolific at times this season, hitting three goals or more in two of their four Bundesliga matches.

The hosts have looked vulnerable at the back. Mainz have failed to keep a clean sheet in all four of their Bundesliga games this season and have gone seven home games without keeping out their opponents.

The visitors are in good form – Borussia Dortmund remain unbeaten after four Bundesliga games this season. Goals should be on the menu and a 3-1 Dortmund win appeals.
