Marseille vs St Etienne Predictions

• Saint Etienne have drawn all three of their games so far
• Marseille have conceded four goals in two completed games
• Saint Etienne won both league meetings last season

Saint Etienne can get a result at Marseille

Marseille looked to be heading for a first defeat of the season at Nice last weekend but the game was abandoned, with Nice holding a 1-0 lead.

L’OM may be able to keep their unbeaten record intact for another week against Saint Etienne but they will struggle to take all three points too against Ligue 1’s draw specialists and a side who claimed six points from them last season.

Les Verts have drawn all three of their games so far.  In their two home games, against Lorient and Lille, Saint Etienne were the dominant side but were unable to find winners and in their one away day, at Lens, they managed to secure a point despite being under pressure for much of the second half.

A draw does look tempting here but as Marseille have shown frailty at the back this season there is a chance Saint Etienne could sneak a win so instead I’m backing the visitors in the double chance market.  Marseille have conceded two goals in both of their completed games so far and as Les Verts have scored five goals in their three games a 2-2 result stands out in the correct score market.
