Montenegro vs Wales Predictions

- Montenegro lost 2-0 in Iceland.
- Montenegro are on a three-game losing streak.
Wales seeking first win for Bellamy
Wales played out a 0-0 draw with Turkey in Cardiff in Craig Bellamy’s first game in charge in their Nations League opener but there were plenty of positives to take from the display.
The Dragons dominated for large periods and created more chances against a team who won plenty of plaudits for their attacking play at Euro 2024.
In contrast, hosts Montenegro had a tough opener as they were beaten 2-0 in Iceland. Montenegro have now lost their last three games and have five defeats in their last eight, and they may struggle to cope with a Wales side who look re-energised under their new head coach.
Goals could be in short supply
The big concern for Bellamy is getting his side firing as they drew a blank against the Turks despite producing a decent attacking display. Wales had 16 chances in Cardiff and had an xG of 2.28, but poor finishing proved costly and they only managed one attempt on target with a further two blocked.
Wales have now failed to score in their last four games since a 4-1 thrashing of Finland earlier in the year, while Montenegro have failed to score in two of their last three games. That all suggests goals could be at a premium here but the Dragons can grind out a victory regardless and a 1-0 win for the visitors seems a reasonable correct score prediction.
