Motherwell vs Kilmarnock Predictions
- Six of the last seven head-to-heads have gone under 2.5 goals
- Motherwell are unbeaten in their eight matches this season
- Three of the Well’s last four games have gone under 2.5 goals
Cagey affair likely
Motherwell and Kilmarnock have both drawn all three of their Scottish Premiership games to start the season so the pair will be hoping to snap that streak when they face off at Fir Park on Saturday.
Killie were down to ten men when drawing with Livingston in their opener before picking up a solid away point against Hibs. However they will have been disappointed not to get the better of Dundee last time out as they could not convert their dominance of the goalless draw.
The Well held Rangers and St Mirren to stalemates in their first two games before letting a three-goal lead slip to draw 3-3 with Hearts last weekend.
This game looks unlikely to be that high-scoring and in fact could become something of a cagey affair. The pair have a habit of cancelling each other out, six of the last seven meetings between the two have gone under 2.5 goals and a repeat of that looks likely.
Hosts could edge it
Expect a competitive and close encounter that looks set to produce fewer than three goals.
The visitors have had a tendency to struggle somewhat on their travels so a 1-0 win for Motherwell must be considered for correct score purposes.
