When is the Nicaragua Clausura season?

The Nicaraguan football season is split into two competitions – the Apertura and the Clausura.

The Apertura ran in the last half of 2019 and was won by Walter Ferretti, while the Clausura began at the end of January 2020 and is ongoing.

The regular Nicaragua Clausura season will run until April 18th before the playoffs begin. The Clausura playoffs will be contested between the top six sides, with 1st and 2nd place getting a bye to the semifinals while 3rd to 6th place contest the quarterfinal stage.

10 teams contest the Nicaragua Clausura, with the following teams competing in the 2019/20 campaign:

Managua, Diriangen, Walter Ferretti, Real Esteli, Juventus Managua, Chinandega, Municipal Jalapa, Deportivo Las Sabanas, Real Madriz and Deportivo Ocotal.
