Norwich vs Coventry Predictions
- Norwich have won three matches in a row across all competitions, scoring 12 goals over that time
- The Canaries are unbeaten in their last 13 meetings with Coventry, winning nine of those games
- Coventry are the Championship’s leading scorers with 61 goals
- Jovon Makama has scored nine goals in his last nine starts for Norwich
Canaries scoring for fun despite Sargent absence
Norwich have been improving under Philippe Clement and they have moved out the Championship relegation zone following back-to-back wins over Wrexham and West Brom – the latter of those successes was a swashbuckling 5-0 road success.
The Canaries also put five past Walsall in the FA Cup, meaning they have scored 12 goals across their last three games, a feat made all the more impressive as it has been achieved without star forward Josh Sargent, who is pushing for a January move away from the club.
Jovon Makama has stepped up in the absence of Sargent, netting nine goals across his last nine starts, and he could be key to Norwich flexing their scoring muscles when league leaders Coventry visit Carrow Road.
League leaders struggling on the road
Coventry are the division’s leading scorers by some distance, netting 61 goals to date, but they remain leaky at the back, failing to keep a clean-sheet in any of their last five Championship games.
Frank Lampard’s side have also been struggling on the road of late, as they are without a win in six away matches across league and cup, and this trip to Norfolk may not see that stuttering form end.
Norwich certainly have been a bogey team for Coventry over recent years, with the Canaries unbeaten in the last 13 meetings, winning nine of those games, a record they may well extend on Monday in an open contest featuring goals at both ends.
