Orgyte IS vs Gais Predictions

Orgryte have won and kept clean sheets in their last two matches and another victory on Monday could see them move into the top three. However, visitors GAIS have a great record of avoiding defeat against Orgryte, and although they haven’t won any of their last three games GAIS will be confident of at the very least picking up a point from Monday’s match.

A solitary thirteenth-minute goal from Ludwigson proved enough for Orgryte to beat high flying Brage on Tuesday night and take the two clubs onto level points in the table, despite the visitors having just 41% of the overall possession and half as many corners as their hosts. GAIS were beaten away at Varberg last weekend, despite the home side being reduced to nine men during the ninety minutes. Varberg had Linder sent-off in the eighteenth minute but still managed to take the lead before the interval. Kabashi brought GAIS back onto level terms in the sixty-eighth minute and shortly after substitute and goalscorer Modig was sent-off, reducing the hosts to nine men. However, the hosts were awarded a penalty ten minutes from time which Girmai converted to win the game for Varberg and left GAIS and their fans both stunned and disappointed.

The head to head record between these two teams and their form heading into Monday’s match, suggests that we will see both teams score and this game end in a draw. Five of the last six encounters between the pair have ended in draws and the last two stalemates ended with both teams scoring. Orgryte and GAIS have both only won two of their last six matches in the Superettan, while both teams have scored in four of Orgryte’s last six and three of GAIS’ last four matches, which is why we’re backing a 1-1 draw between the pair on Monday.

Ludwigson top scores for Orgryte this season with six league goals, while Ašćerić has four Superettan goals and is the only GAIS player to have scored more than once in the league so far this season. We’re confident that GAIS will avoid defeat on Monday, which is why we have backed the visitors with a double chance bet and have predicted a final scoreline of 1-1. Five of the last six meetings between these two clubs have ended in stalemates, GAIS haven’t lost against Orgryte in any of the pairs last eleven encounters, and both teams have only picked up two wins in their last six matches, so Monday’s game has draw written all over it.
