Lorient Draw No Bet

Reason for tip

Lorient have hit form after a bad run and beat Monaco 3-1 last weekend. If they can tighten things up at the back they are a real threat to beat a Paris FC side that lost their last home game to Strasbourg and were lucky to get a draw at Nice on Sunday. Lorient have won three of the past four meetings of the clubs and were unlucky to lose 3-2 in the other.

Lorient 3-2

Reason for tip

Lorient have had no problem scoring goals this season, but they are still defensively suspect, so both teams should score. Lorient bagged three against 10-man Monaco last weekend while Paris Fc lost their last home game 3-2, so perhaps another scoreline like that could be on the cards.

Pablo Pagis To Score Anytime

Reason for tip

Pablo Pagis has scored three goals in his last 54 minutes of action for Lorient. He executed an exquisite chip to complete a brace against Monaco last weekend and looks to be challenging for a starting role again after overcoming a calf injury.

Les Merlus are on the improve

Having turned their fortunes around impressively in the past few weeks, Lorient could be capable of earning a second Ligue 1 win in a row at Paris FC on Friday. Les Merlus were down and out when they suffered 7-1 and 4-0 defeats to Lille and Marseille in consecutive rounds earlier this season.

But Olivier Pantaloni has overseen a remarkable resurgence with Lorient picking up their second win of the campaign last Saturday against Monaco.

Like in their heavy defeat at Stade Velodrome, the result was greatly influenced by an early red card. Lorient opened the scoring shortly after Thilo Kehrer was ordered off and made it 3-0 following two fine finishes by substitute Pablo Pagis.

Paris FC are too short

Pantaloni has been bedding in several new faces in the past few weeks and the signs are that they are all on the same page now.

Meanwhile, Paris FC picked up a decent point at Nice last weekend when the home side lost their concentration straight after a fan protest briefly interrupted the game.

They concede too many goals to be considered worthy favourites at an odds-on quote here, however, and should be opposed in the Draw no Bet market. Lorient have won three of the last four meetings and were unlucky to lose 3-2 in last season;s very even corresponding fixture.
