Port Vale vs Milton Keynes Dons Predictions, Betting Tips and Match Previews

Last weekend’s FA Cup failed to bear fruit for either of these two sides and they crashed out to Championship opposition without putting up too much of a fight. Prior to that both were involved in 0-0 draws in the league and come into this match with just three points separating them in the table.

These two approach this match in similar form – patchy (at best). With this in mind, it’s fairly hard to tear them apart. One thing has been fairly common for both of late is a lack of goals. At odds of 5/6, ‘Under 2.5 Goals’ looks a decent bet ahead of this one.

As touched on above, before their FA Cup excursions, both were involved in low-key 0-0 draws, while seven of their last ten combined have seen less than three match goals go in. Fairly uninspiring stuff that’s for sure. In addition, when the pair met earlier in the season they shared just the one goal in another fairly poor match.

Having scored just once in their last five, Port Vale are struggling for goals in particular, although the visitors aren’t faring too much better having scored just three in that time.

In one of the harder matches to call (from a win perspective) this Saturday, backing goals, or rather a lack of, is a more than viable option. Unless something drastic happens here it’s hard to see these two playing out a high-scoring match.
