• Fulham are set to be without Aleksandar Mitrovic who has scored 44% of their league goals
• The Cottagers drew at home to Derby without Mitrovic and five other players through illness
• Preston are unbeaten at home to sides above them

Blow for Fulham

Fulham saw their winning streak brought to an end in midweek and they could struggle again this weekend. The Cottagers had won seven on the bounce before Wednesday’s home encounter with bottom-side Derby. However, illness contributed to the league leaders slipping up.

Harry Wilson, Harrison Reed, Antonee Robinson and Bobby De Cordova-Reid were all ruled out for that clash. Top-scorer Aleksandar Mitrovic and captain Tom Cairney were also both unavailable and they’re expected to miss this trip. Losing the 21-goal Serbian in particular is a massive blow for Fulham.

Preston can hold their own

It’s not just Fulham’s issues which point to Preston getting something here. So far this term, Deepdale has been a tough place to go for top sides. Preston have managed to collect 11 points from a possible 15 against sides above them. They’ve lost none of those matches, so Fulham are up against it.

The hosts also became the first side to beat Bournemouth earlier this term and they’re more than capable of causing a surprise. I’m backing Preston double chance here, with a 1-1 draw my correct score prediction.
