QPR vs Bristol City Predictions
Bristol City’s decision to fire Steve Cotterill in January was widely criticised at the time given he had led them to the League One title last season in impressive fashion but it has proved to be the right call. Since his dismissal the Robins have collected 31 points from 19 league games having mustered only 21 from the opening 26 games of the season. Their form has seen them cruise to safety and there have been some really enterprising displays too that suggest the Bristol club could achieve greater things next term. They come into this game after a 4-0 win over Huddersfield when Jonathan Kodjia bagged a brace to take his tally for the season to 20 goals.
They travel to West London in confident mood then to take on a QPR side that has been experimenting a little in recent weeks as they look to build towards next season. Their results have suffered a bit though with just 1 win from their last 8 matches and they suffered a 1-0 defeat at Burnley on Monday. It has been a season that won’t live long in the memory of QPR fans who were hoping for a promotion push but are going to have to settle for a mid-table finish.
Bristol City have been a little unpredictable of late but goals do tend to follow them around and they can come at either end of the pitch. Both teams have scored in 5 of their last 6 Championship games while that has also happened in all of QPR’s last 3 home games. There is nothing to lose here for either side so they have no reason not to go looking for the win and backing both teams to score at 4/6 might be the best way to go.
