Brave Brechin to put up a fight

Raith started their League Cup campaign with a win, beating Cowdenbeath 1-0 away from home. This was a vital win with the side now face some easier ties and will see this game especially as an opportunity to pick up another three points and qualifying for the next round of the cup.

Brechin didn’t have as much success in their opening game, suffering a 3-0 loss to Livingston at home. There isn’t much expected from the side after they finished bottom of the entire Scottish League system last year and their opening day loss wouldn’t have done anything to allay supporters’ fears.

This should be an easy victory for Raith, as is reflected in the odds for this game. Value is hard to find but we think backing Raith in the half time/full time market probably represents the most value. With both teams scoring in the last six meetings however, we think Brechin won’t go down without a fight and we’re forecasting a 4-1 win for Raith.
