Randers ready to go one better

After four draws from their first four group games, Randers will be hoping to kick on and overtake Jablonec in second place. The hosts still have a chance of reaching the knockout stages of the inaugural UEFA Europa Conference League but will need to win this home tie with a trip to group leaders AZ Alkmaar to follow.

They are just a point behind Jablonec who host AZ, after back-to-back 2-2 draws with the Czech club. Randers are seeking their first-ever win at home in full European competition but they have lost just two of their last 14 games at home in all competitions and I fancy them to secure that illustrious victory in this tie.

Cluj out of sorts

With just one goal so far in the competition, the Romanian visitors have picked up just one point but that did come in the reverse fixture with Randers. However, they find themselves bottom the group with just a slim chance of qualifying having suffered back-to-back defeats to Alkmaar. Their last game saw them lose 2-0 in Holland and having failed to score on the road so far I’m backing Randers to eke out a narrow and much-needed victory here.
